About
Peony Haven Counseling
Keilen Yun, M.Ed., LPC-A
Founder & Counselor, Peony Haven Counseling
Our Philosophy
“No matter how long the winter lasts, the heart can bloom again.”
Peony Haven Counseling Center was founded on the belief that even after the longest winter, the heart can bloom again.
The name “Peony” was inspired by Greek mythology — a flower that endures harsh winters and blooms anew each spring. It symbolizes human resilience, grace, and quiet strength.
Peony Haven is a reflection of that belief —
a gentle garden for the heart, where pain and silence give way to renewal and peace.
From the Founder
Founder Keilen Yun and the Peony Haven Counseling team are dedicated to walking alongside individuals and families across Houston —helping hearts heal, rebuild trust, and rediscover peace and connection.
For over sixteen years, Keilen has devoted her work to the well-being of youth, families, and communities —
leading programs in suicide prevention, school bullying intervention, emotional support, as well as awareness efforts on gaming and substance addiction, human trafficking prevention, and parent communication workshops.
“At Peony Haven, we believe healing happens quietly —
through warmth, trust, and connection.”
Our Approach
Peony Haven’s counseling is:
Collaborative — a partnership where we discover direction together.
Trauma-informed — deeply aware of safety, context, and emotional history.
Heart-centered — grounded in authenticity, empathy, and human dignity.
Healing is never forced. Like the peony breaking through winter’s frost, growth happens quietly — but with strength and grace.
Our Mission
To create a haven where hearts can rest, reconnect, and bloom again.
A place where healing begins, where stories are honored, and where life finds its way back to light.
